Guest guest
There has been much talk on the subject of dairy milk and which way (if any) is the best way to go about getting it, along with what may come with the milk and what the consequences might be.. Well, I was wondering if anyone grows their own veggies, fruits, herbs, etc. It seems like growing them oneself can produce a tastier food and perhaps be a bit of fun in the process. I was watching a show on the foodnetwork (starring Lisa Loeb and Satriani)...well they were at this wonderful shop and the clerk was explaining how the mass produced fruits and such were designed to be uniform... of the same shape, size, taste etc. He had these wonderful and naturally shaped veggies...all different. Anywho, I know this is nothing new but I'd be interested in knowing if those who grow any of their own food tend to notice a difference in taste (less pesticides and so forth?). On another note but about the same program (did I mention this already). When the show first aired earlier this year, the intro had Loeb introducing herself as a " vegetarian " who enjoys sneaking a piece of bacon every now and again (or something to that nature). No big whoop to me (her thang is her thang..strict/careful or not), but I did find it unusual and it did give me the ole double-take action. This just seemed a bit confusing to me, especially coming off of a network involving food. As of late though, and a few episodes in, the intro has changed to... " I don't eat meat " but enjoy sneaking a piece of bacon (don't quote me . Viewer mail? PETA? S. ps....ate my first thai pepper off of my first purchased pepper plant.....delayed reaction and it kicked me in the boom-boom! hot stuff and lovin it!
