Guest guest
I'm a terrible lurker, just enjoy reading the posts from time to time to see what's new. I go by the nickname of " Cat " (real name Ellen) Live in a small town 35 miles SW of Portland, Oregon and only 45 miles from the magnificent Oregon Coast. Oregon is my home for keeps now, but I have also lived in Washington State, Arizona, Oklahoma, Japan, and California. Gave up eating beef, pork, & poultry in 1995; still eat a little bit of fish or shellfish. Use cheese and eggs sparingly. I'm fortunate to know someone who has chickens so always get my eggs from them don't drink milk at all. Having just finished planting half of this years garden, I picked swiss chard and spring onions that had overwintered from last year, and sauteed them with some sliced broccoli stems I had left over from making cabbage salad. Dressed with tamari, rice vinegar and sesame seed oil, it was the best meal I've had in ages!
Guest guest
hola all - I am Scott, I grew up in the suburbs of Boston, moved to the Bay area about 11 years ago and never looked back. I celebrated my move by making the transition from veggie to vegan. I am a musician with a day job and a million and three hobbies some of which include hosting a weekly radio show, developing and perfecting my own line of hot sauces, and spending as much time in the studio as I can. With that said I lurk more than I post. cheers -

I almost bought that Silk brand eggnog this past holiday season. Next time I see it on the shelves, I will buy it. I haven't had eggnog in so long and everyone who likes eggnog just raves about the taste of this product. ~ pt ~ Oh that I and my choir of partners were in yon glen up there, no witness beneath the white sun, save the bright star and the planets; no simple infant with no sense, no gabbling one there nor lying one to spread about the story. ~ Carmina Gadelica (trans, and ed. Guest guest
Hello all! I'm Janet (33) from Pennsylvania. I've been a vegetarian now for about 12 years or so. I didn't really have any problems giving up meat. I would love to become vegan now. Due to some financial problems right now I'm unable to get some foods that are vegan. That stuff isn't cheap. It also doesn't help that I'm a terrible cook and mostly eat things out of the box. LOL If there are some easy and quick recipes, that would be best. I do not eat eggs or drink milk but I eat things that contain dairy products. I currently use Silk Vanilla soy milk for everything. I tried rice and almond milk and other soy brands but find the Silk Vanilla the best for me. Cheese is the hardest thing for me to give up. I just love pizza and grilled cheese sandwiches. Ok, I'm sure I've bored you all now. I am pretty much a lurker around here so it's nice to 'meet' you all. janet Finance Tax Center - File online. File on time. Guest guest
yeah, sometimes it is pretty overwhelming. I have two recipes perfected and two that are in the refinement process. taking two weeks off radio and devoting them to sauce. once I scale up my recipes so that I am making more than 60oz (12 5oz bottles) a batch I will be sure to make some available to members here since there seems to be so many chili heads here.
