Guest guest
Kev, If I'm converting kgs into lbs correctly... that sounds entirely normal to me and I wouldn't worry about it. Of course going vegan doesn't guarantee weight loss. I don't think I lost any weight going vegan (although I think I had a slight energy boost). It depends mostly on the calories of what you were eating. If you used to eat eggs and cheese everyday and are now just plain leaving them out of your diet, you're bound to lose weight. But if you substitute the dairy you used to eat with soy or nut milk / soy cheese / soy ice cream and the eggs with tofu scrablers or oil then the calories are still probably roughly the same. Either way it should be healthier (as long as you lay off the hydrogenated oils) because you will be consuming less saturated fats. If you don't think you've been eating less fat / calories maybe your activity level has changed; perhaps you've experienced an energy boost like I have. New vegetarians/vegans often equate any changes in their body with changes in their diet but sometimes it's something else entirely. Hell, maybe you haven't been drinking as many fluids the past couple of weeks and most of the weight you lost is water weight. > > Hi everyone > > I have been a member of the group now for about 4 weeks but never have given an intro. > > So here i am, i'm 21 years old and a student doing a degree in sport and exercise science.
