This was an email that I received. The writer asked me to send it to

all of the other activists I work with (as you can see from reading

what they had to say). I have done so in the hope that all of you

feel the same inspiration that I did after reading it. Have a good

day. We ARE making a difference! This is not the only email like

this I have received. Every one reminds me of the importance of what

we are dong and inspires me to do more. I hope it does the same for

you. We read too much bad news. Sometimes it helps to read of a

happy story that reminds us that there is hope after all. Enjoy!

Ohmygosh!! I have a lot to say but I'll try to keep this brief.

Your blog was the first information that I really started reading a

while back regarding the first " Mad Cow " here in the U.S. This made

me afraid to eat beef. I stopped cold turkey. Then, I started

reading information on lots of veg*n websites and also books such

as " Mad Cowboy " , " Animal Liberation " , etc. I'm now a vegetarian

(since late January) aspiring toward being a vegan. My main reason

for being veg*n now is because of the cruelty to the animals.

They're sentient beings with feelings and emotions. If they don't

want to die, we do not have the right to kill or mistreat them! They

must be allowed to live. It seems I am moving toward becoming a

little bit of an activist myself. I don't know anyone personally who

is a vegetarian. You know how it is when you try to talk to people

about it. At this early stage of my transformation, I use a very

mild approach. When someone mentions anything about a beloved pet, I

ask them if I can ask them a personal question, then I gently speak

to them about loving some animals but eating others who are tortured

and murdered. So far, it's been going well - at least a seed of the

thought is planted. I close this in a moment. But I want to thank

you so very, very much for what you're doing. Please spread the word

to your fellow activists that what they're doing is making a

difference. Like you said, every little thing helps. I wish I had

money to donate to help you but I have nothing. I do promise to

continue my gentle, for now, activism to plant seeds of compassion

into peoples' minds.
