He was a charming old man who made a big splash on public TV years ago

when his book, Stalking the Wild Asparagas, became a surprise hit and PBS

gave him a show. On it he showed viewers what wild things were edible,

how to prepare them, and so on. Supposedly he hadn't bought food for

decades, and he was this huge old grizzled guy with a gentle nature and

voice and a twinkle in his eye. Google his name, maybe his stuff made it

to digital.

I remember those 70s euell gibbons ads, " ever eat a cattail, many

parts are eddible " lol. I may act young but I'm 43 and probably older

than alot of you. lol.
