Guest guest
i am the only person in my family that is a vegetarian and so i have to come up with recipies that my whole family likes. i often make dinner at my house, so i come up with a new recipie practically every week. one night i had my friends over and we didnt have anything to eat. someone suggested PB & J sandwhiches, but i cant stand plain penut butter, so i cooked some spaghetti and made some sauce. i have discovered that though it may seem exclusive for thai and eastern meals, i have found this as the most versatile sauce i have ever created. if being used in more of an english or italian culture, you simply dont add the curry or spice. here goes, hope you like it! you will need: 2 Tbls peanut butter (i prefer creamy, but i am not everyone) 2 Tbls terryaki sauce (any type works, but i find i like original the most) 2 Tbls milk, water, or coconut milk 2 tsp curry powder, or to taste 4 tsp soy sauce just mix it all together and throw it in with whatever you are cooking AFTER you have COMPLETELY finished cooking it. this sauce has a great ability to burn and taste wretched, and the hot food will most usually heat it up. serve however you want! (optional ingriedients i often add are powdered ginger, onions and garlic, but not everyone likes this) my family loves spicy food, so i sometimes add dried chillies depending on the dish. This recipie can serve 1-2 people, depending on the thickness you want, and more milk or water can be added depending on how you like it. i urge you all to take this recipie and make it your own, try new spices, and try it on all different things, i've found it tastes lovely on salad, stir fries, tofu, steamed veggies, veggie burgers, spaghetti, tortellinis, rice, and if you have a family like mine, sorry to say, but meat. i love this sauce and hope you will too!
