Guest guest
step 1: clear the room. this is potent stuff. step 2: in a large pot, sautee a large onion and as much garlic as you can handle (i'll use a whole head in many cases) until they're fairly soft but not completely cooked through. (if no whole garlic is available, garlic powder will do in a pinch.) step 3: add 2 cups or so of veggie broth or plain tomato soup and as much chili (sauce, whole peppers, calsa, or a combo) as you can take. optional step 4: add some brightly-coloured veggies to this, paying special attention to those that are orange and yellow. optional step 5: if you like, blend the whole thing with an immersion blender or in a standalone blender (make sure it's closed well!!!). drink as much of this as possible, as hot as you can take it. i also like to boil rosehips in water and drink the liquid from that along with this soup; if no rosehips are available, i just drink my favourite tea. this isn't a cure, but it can help to shorten the length of a cold, and it sure does clear out the sinuses. by the way-- be on the lookout for stomach flu; that's going around as well. i have had 4 clients out with it in the last 2 weeks. melody http://www.melodysmusic.net
