Guest guest
I also feel that nutritional needs play a part in cravings. One product I found a few years ago that I love is Stonewall's Jerquee. http://www.veganessentials.com/catalog/stonewalls-jerquee-.htm It's basically, vegan jerky. Comes in a bunch of different flavors. One of the little bags usually lasts me a week or so. I'll just much 3 or 4 pieces as a snack. Might be good for new vegetarians. Also has a lot of protein and iron. I think other things also play parts in cravings. Tastes, textures. Memories. Cinnamon toast & Saturday morning cartoons. Junior Mints & the movies. SpaghettiOs & home with dad. Lucky for me, all of these have vegetarian substitutes. Anyone else have these memory cravings? Guest guest
I sometimes get comfort food cravings too! LIke, I love mashed potatoes the way my mom used to make them- with the peels left on. This was one of the only good dishes that she could make. Whenever I am sick, I want eggplant parmesan. Which is weird- it's not a food that I ate as a kid. It's just a food that makes me feel good. Also, when I am menstruating, I crave salty food and sweets. I guess that's hormonal. morgaana wrote: I think other things also play parts in cravings. Tastes, textures. Memories. Cinnamon toast & Saturday morning cartoons. Junior Mints & the movies.
