Guest guest
hi, there-- i'm going to echo everything laura mentioned. here's a short (not complete) list of non-vegan " food group equivalents " in the vegetarian diet: " MEAT " (protein sources): seitan, soy, beans, nuts, most whole grains, especially amaranth and quinoa " DAIRY " (calcium sources): soy yogurt, soy milk, soy cheeze, tofu (which is cured in a calcium base) most vegans need a b-12 supplement, or need to eat foods that are enriched with b-12. most people, even carnivores, should take a calcium citrate supplement, too. i personally take a liquid vitamin called " ola loa " , but if you have a good diet with lots of variety, you shouldn't really need to take any other supplements. hope this helps!! melody http://www.melodysmusic.net
