Guest guest
It takes very little antifreeze to kill a small animal, and the taste is apparently very attractive to pets.> There has been talk about this very issue here in New Mexico. Apparently a few years ago a dog was killed after ingesting antifreeze, so now they want to pass a law that all antifreeze has to have a bitter taste to it so as to deter humans and animals from ingesting it. Good idea, I think!
Guest guest
I lost my first pet to antifreeze poisoning years ago. All it took was a small leak on the garage floor. I am told that the anti-freeze which is designed to have an extremely bitter taste is more expensive. Since I don't drive a car, I can't say whether it even is available here. , " Sheryl " <ssarndt> wrote: > It takes very little antifreeze to kill a small animal, and the > taste is apparently very attractive to pets.> > > There has been talk about this very issue here in New Mexico. > Apparently a few years ago a dog was killed after ingesting > antifreeze, so now they want to pass a law that all antifreeze has > to have a bitter taste to it so as to deter humans and animals from > ingesting it.
