Guest guest
I would stay away from ALL fast food restaurants even if I was still a lacto-ovo vegetarian. If you go to Murder King and order a BK veggie and how them put it in the microwave, realize that since they are always touching meat they will likely contaminate whatever you order. When I used to work at Mc Dahmer's, I saw co-workers put meat on a sandwich and then just take it off after they were told it was supposed to be " no meat " ; not because they were being inconsiderate, just that they're in such a hurry. Also, since most employees aren't vegetarians, you can't expect them to know what you would or would not find acceptable. The cheese probably has animal rennet / enzymes in it. Like all of the sandwich ingredients, it sits in a plastic tray all day and is frequently touched by hands that have just been touching meat. If you order an egg and cheese sandwich, realize that the egg was fried on the very same grill where they fry bacon, sausage, etc. Not to mention that in the hectic fast food environment it is common for employees to accidentally undercook food, so salmonella is always a risk. (I don't think it is out of a desire to make the customers sick, but considering how rude some customers are, you never know). Even if the fries didn't have dead cow or chicken in them, realize that they would inevitably be fried in the same oil that was frying fish or chicken a second before. You can't even be sure pies, cookies, or whatever baked goods they sell are free from meat contamination. Fast food restaurants use pans etc without cleaning them. Even cookie sheets are used to hold bacon as the grease drips off. I know it sucks when you're in a hurry and want something to eat, but that's the hard truth of it and they aren't going to change no matter how much a few vegetarian customers complain. They'll just keep lying and taking your money. If you lead a hectic life, make it a habit of taking along granola bars, potato chips, or whatever you like. At least you know what's in it. , " Dave " <phantombluefan> wrote: > giving vegetarians dead animals to eat instead of just saying sorry > we are out of mcveggies is just so beyond uncool.
