Guest guest
Could very well have been. I regret that I didn't move faster to buy the book they were plugging at the time and have now forgotten who it was by, but looking at a webpage on Paul Deveraux it looks very similar. Cheers for that, I'll have to look it up. I love the fact that we Archaeologists look for advanced sociological motives in prehistoric behaviour so you get all these theories about death rituals or magic rituals and then a much more grounded voice at the back piping up: " they're our ancestors after all...they were just trying to get out of their trees " . I wonder if that has anything to do with the saying someone is " out of their tree " ...hm. , The Stewarts <stews9@c...> wrote: > Paul Devereux? > > On Saturday, January 10, 2004, at 10:53 AM, (AT) (DOT) > com wrote: > > > This also reminds me of a documentary a while back where the guy > > running it was trying to prove early man built ceremonial > > structures at prehistoric sites in such a way that sound would > > disorientate them and leave them in a trance-like state. > > > > Marvellous stuff.
