Guest guest
That was the whole point about the satire, to make uncomfortable anyone with even a modicum of humane feelings. This contrasts how the real world is: Sociopathic and sadistic. Guest guest
Your idea of good satire and your world view is a matter of perspective. Bad taste does not make something good satire. Mark Twain was someone who I would consider a good satirist, but he was not discusting. He saw social ills and even wrote about contrary attitudes and ignorance but could challenge his reader without flinging dung. I know that there are many points of view but even visions of animals being tortured can cause some people to be more callous and desensitized. Some even find it funny. , The Stewarts <stews9@c...> wrote: > That was the whole point about the satire, to make uncomfortable anyone with even a modicum of humane feelings. > This contrasts how the real world is: Sociopathic and sadistic.
