Guest guest
I decided to stop into one of my local favorite plant nurseries as I do on occasion to see what tey get in the way of herbs during the winter, and lo and behold, I found three lemongrass plants! Granted they were scraggly-looking a bit, but I LOVE thai cooking and considering where i usually do my shopping they sell lemongrass by the bunch, they either go bad in the fridge or I cut them up and dry tem and they lose some of their potency. But I bought two of the plants and now I can just clip off what I need as I need it for fresh lemongrass in vegetable curries! anyone grow lemongrass who could give me some tips on it? this is my first time growing htem and i don't want to kill them off. :-) on a side note, they also had " curry " plants, whose leaves actually smelled like curry powder! (the spice blends most of us are probably familiar with) anyone familiar with this plant in cooking? Megan
