This is wrong. One cannot keep a cat, which is a

domesticated animal, made that way by humans

and expect them to all of a sudden hunt for all of

their own food again. That is just wrong and inhumane

to force them back into a feral existance. Inhumane

treatment of these animals would then go against

veganism.

The humane and ethical way to handle caring for a

domesticated cat in the vegan way would be to make

sure you buy them meat from small family farms,

preferably organic. One might contact a local butcher

shop or meatcutter's union for some sources of less

expensive meat scraps.

I feel quite strongly that no cat should be forced to hunt

for all of their own food, and that proper care and

nourishment should be provided for them. If a cat

chooses to hunt for additional food, or wishes to hunt

simply to satisfy a primal itch, that should be allowed,

but not forced upon them for mere survival.

We should stop trying to force a cat into the same

category as humans in regards to ethics; calling them

an " unethical beast " because they are naturally

carnivorous is just silly.

Absolutely! Get your cats from a shelter.

They always have loving cats in despirate need of a good

home. If you do get a cat, treat them like a god or goddess.

Make sure you provide for all of their essential needs

and give them regular check-ups. If they hunt for additional

food outside, make sure they get wormed on a regular basis

as they will get deadly parasites from eating mice or moles.
