(I've wondered about this.) I don't think so. If another person is on a different path than myself, I don't judge them. I only put into my mouth what I wish to eat, but cannot control what they choose to do. I can only hope that through my example and by not acting pushy they may conclude that vegetarianism is a pleasant path they might one day also take. If it has been prearranged for me to pay for their dinner and they happened to want to consume the flesh of a dead animal, then I would still pay for their dinner out of politeness. > > What about allowing meat to be brought into a vegetarian home and > cooked and consumed in it? I live in a home with several omnivores, so this is something I am used to dealing with. Again, it isn't something I like, but as long as I am not being made to eat it then I let them do as they see fit. I can only control myself and behave in a manner that I find acceptable. I cannot force my will or my ways upon others. I just try to follow my path the best I can and share my vegetarian life and food with them. If I stay true to my own path I do not feel I am being a hypocrite. ~ pt ~ Man's heart away from nature becomes hard. ~ Standing Bear
