Guest guest
Maybe this recipe will warm up and give energy to those of you back east that are having to dig out from the snow storm. Anybody here get hit with a bunch? New England Cranberry-Apple Slump 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling 1 can (16 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce 1 tsp. grated orange peel 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 egg 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease deep dish pie plate or 9x9 inch pan. Spread apple pie filling over bottom of pan. Mix orange peel and cranberry sauce and spread over apples. Mix together the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg with a fork until weel mixed and crumbly. Sprinkle over top of cranberries. Drizzle with the melted butter. Bake 35 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 8 to 9. ~ PT ~ Everything here, but the soul of man, is a passing shadow. The only enduring substance is within. ~ William Henry Channing (1780-1842)
