I would be interested to know what pre-diabetic condition is and what

are its symptoms, if any.

Are there any general guidelines for feeding a vegetarian diet to

someone with diabetes? I ask b/c we've pretty much converted Thomas's

father into a vegetarain over the past few months. He has the type of

diabetes where he doesn't have to take insulin every day.

Thanks,

karen :)

I'd also be very interested. My elderly mother (84) is diabetic, managed

from diet not insulin. She says she has to eat meat because she needs

the protein. At 84, she is unlikely to be 'converted' from consuming

animal protein, even if I wanted to try, but it would be nice to be able

to have an informed discussion with her on the topic ;=)

Best,

Pat
