Guest guest
But, i had picked up the thin copy of the Eat Right for Your Type book for my blood type. I don't really follow it, but was curious about it. I'm type A. Now, my main man isn't sure of his blood type but knows it's NOT A (said it's a needed blood, he gets calls from the blood bank back in Canada sometimes). He was looking at the book and found it really cool that for my blood type it says to avoid red meat altogether. It says to avoid MEAT altogether i think but gives the " fish " lee-way to get people off the cow. This brought up a discussion of a period in my family's (My mom, her boyfriend, and myself) life of being vegan. We followed McDougall's plan. Now, my mom is a big fan of meat (steaks especially). Her bf isn't. He fancies himself a vegetarian now and then. Not after this McDougall deal though... my mom had NO problem giving up meat but he had such a hard time with it. Then later on we found out his blood type was one that said to eat red meat. She is also A, like me (well, more i'm like her i guess!). Just really weird that it brought about these urges in him when we thought it would be hard for my mother. Ok... that said i am NOT saying that if someone has a certain blood type (or religion, or shoe size) that they just can't give up meat... but does something like that make it harder for some than others? So... with all that rambling.... what blood type are you? BTW... if you haven't read about this diet plan it tells about where and when the different blood types came about. The one that my mom's bf is was one of the first and they were hunters. BIG meat eaters. The " A " type was a newer type and they were farmers so ate loads of natural stuff. Kinda cool, even if it is a tad hokey ) peace nikki --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
