Guest guest Posted December 3, 2003 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 tonight, we tried gardenburger's country fried chik'n with creamy pepper gravy for the first time. i don't recommend it. the dinky little chik'n patty was unremarkable, but the " gravy " was nasty! it wasn't creamy and it didn't have much pepper in it (i counted 3 black specks). it was gloppy and slightly transparent and had an unpleasant taste and funky aftertaste. i won't tell you what my dh said it looked like. ahem. i made the mistake of serving the gravy on top of the patties and ended up having to scrape it off....even then, i couldn't finish the patty. the taste seemed to get worse with each bite. blech! oh, and the gravy had partially hydrogenated soybean oil in it....not good. i can't remember what i paid for this product, but it seems like it was over $3. there were only two servings in the package, so it wasn't a bargain. oh well, now i know. susie Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now http://companion./ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
