Not oversight. Not error. Deception. In some Islamic sects intent doesn't enter into it. If you eat pork, you go to their Hell equivalent. My wife made this point almost verbatim, and I concur. No way we can trust them. They are beef council shills and they're promoting Atkins to sell meat right when more people were turning away from it due to Mad Cow concerns. You watch, when the Mad Cow pandemic hits, they'll play innocent. " We didn't know, the FDA -- which we suborned and subvereted and bought and sold -- didn't warn us... " You watch. It'll be soon, with all the meat being chunked down. > > This morning I am feeling particularly grumpy and self righteous ;=( > > Best, > Pat > " And the Devil condemned him to cast stones endlessly into a lake that gave back neither splash nor ripples, an endless parody of his wasted life giving to others without once being given to. As it happens, members of these sects wouldn't be affected by the McD fries, though, would they - not since McD's can guarantee (hah!) vegetable oil for frying and beef (not pork) as the natural flavour. Your point is however well taken. Perhaps the Jains, for example, might think likewise - taking a life is still taking a life. No doubt it's here and being injested in some sort of early, undetectable prion-state. The only reason we had that one case of BSE pop up here in Canada last spring was because the animal made it to an older age, so there was time for the physical signs to develop. Scary stuff... ~Kathy
