Guest guest Posted November 28, 2003 Report Share Posted November 28, 2003 HOT CIDER WITH BUTTERED RUM Serves 6 5 cups apple cider 2 Tbsp sugar 10 whole allspice 8 whole cloves 2 cinnamon sticks 1 cup dark rum 1/2 cup unsalted butter Combine first 5 ingredients in heavy large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 5 min. Remove from heat; strain. Add rum and butter. Stir until butter melts. Serve immediately.
