Guest guest Posted November 28, 2003 Report Share Posted November 28, 2003 Southern Style Dressing 24 oz cold crumbled corn bread or 3/4 of an 8x8 dish of corn bread 1 piece of whole wheat bread finely shredded (use blender or by hand) 1/2 onion minced 1 egg 1 can Cream of Celery Soup 3/4 can full of vegetable stock 2 turkee slices chopped (optional) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp poulty seasoning 1/4 tsp sage Preheat oven to a little less than 400 degrees. Mix all dry ingredients first then add in the wet ingredients. Blend well. Liberally grease 8x8 casserole dish with Crisco or Spray Pam. Bake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes or until dressing is brown around the edges and done in the middle. Stab the middle of the dressing with a toothpick - if it comes out clean, it's done.
