Guest guest
hi, nate and megan! welcome to the group. i'm a strict vegan myself, and if you need any info please feel free to ask! happy thanksgiving, everyone! i'm very excited about this year's holiday because i don't have to go back to my parents' house like i usually do-- my dad turned 75 a few weeks ago, so i flew out to new york for that, and am thus exempt from thanksgiving travel this year (although my mom is still mad that i'm not making the 8-hour each way flight two weeks after i just did it). this means no one is going to make jokes about how my vegan " no bull " jacket has animal products in it, or make fun of the small vegan meal i make for myself since i usually can't eat anything else there, or drip turkey juice on said vegan meal and then get mad that i don't eat it after that, or other such fun thanksgiving activities. so ! this year we're having a tofurkey and an unturkey (the unturkey is for my friend who can't eat soy; the " skin " is made of soy but the rest is wheat gluten), cranberry-apple sauce, whole wheat rolls, stuffing, my boyfriend's famous macaroni and not cheese, mashed potatoes, yam-pineapple casserole, and a chocolate eclair cake and a pumpkin pie for dessert. can't wait to start cooking! happy thanksgiving to all! melody http://www.melodysmusic.net
