Probably means it has beer and croc or roo meat in it. I mean, the beer's a given, right? " I reject any role that puts me as a representative of a group of people. Why not have a conversation with your friend about the Aussie salad and find out what's in it? If they won't accomodate you, then I would go somewhere else myself. My mother? *lol* No, she was delighted to learn that there was a soy-rich vegetarian meat alternative that tasted so much like ground crumbled meat that it would fool her tastebuds and be a healthy alternative. She did express concern about how dottering she is and how she might not be able to find such products at the store as I do. I described them in detail and where she could look and also encouraged her to ask a store clerk if she can't find any. If all else fails I will take her shopping when I go to NY to visit this next summer and show her myself. > If these humanoid primates can't and obviously won't accommodate you, then > why call them friends and why attend to their sad little celebration of > smugness and self-satisfied disdain? Oh, it isn't that bad. I enjoyed the gathering. The food was wonderful and there was plenty to eat; as you have pointed out in the past 95% of the Thanksgiving meal is vegetarian, even if people eat turkey. I had mashed potatoes, salad, sweet taters, green beans, corn, corn casserole, a slice of bread and assorted raw veggies nibbled before the meal, cheese and crackers, olives, pickles, and desserts. I was stuffed. Besides the gathering isn't all about food.
