Guest guest
McDonald's lies. Boycott it entirely and do NOT trust that even their so-called veggie-burgers are vegetarian friendly. Guest guest
Thier Veggieburgers aren't Vegetarian friendly. Nothing in that place is. It is all cooked on ONE grill, so even if it is a Veggieburger it is still getting meat grease and oils cooked on it with it. And the french fries and everything else that needs to be cooked in oils is all cooked in the same oil. The oil intermixes. Even the oil isn't vegetarian. All the old vegetable oil (so they say it is vegetable oil) and the oil and grease from the meats cooked on the grill are put in a big tub and shipped to a recycling/refinary then shipped back to be reused. It's a mix oils. --- The Stewarts <stews9 wrote: > McDonald's lies. > > Boycott it entirely and do NOT trust that even their > so-called > veggie-burgers are vegetarian friendly. > > > On Wednesday, November 19, 2003, at 03:13 PM, > wrote: > > > Message: 1 > > Wed, 19 Nov 2003 14:57:16 -0000 > > " Eldon B Tucker " <eldon > > french fries and Macdonalds > > > > A year or two ago, it made the news that > Macdonalds used beef to > > flavor its french fries. Guest guest
very true and I would say that goes for any fast food restaurant. you have to remember that the workers are in a big hurry and cannot remember to not cross contaminate things. (i.e. if you're lacto-ovo and order an egg/cheese sandwich there's a good chance the eggs touched meat at some point and were probably even cooked on the same grill as bacon). even if the fries didn't have meat in them, they are likely to be cooked in the same fryer as fish or chicken. also, since most people working there aren't likely to be vegetarian, they don't know what a vegetarian wouldn't like to eat. they may think that if they remove the meat from a bun that you wouldn't mind eating the bun. besides the stuff is all loaded with preservatives anyway and the quality is low. , The Stewarts <stews9@
