Guest guest Posted November 2, 2003 Report Share Posted November 2, 2003 CHERRY OAT SQUARES (Yield: 16 cookies) 1/3 cup sugar 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 21-ounce can Cherry Pie Filling Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a 9x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray. In a large mixing bowl combine sugar, nuts, oats, butter, and flour; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of the mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Stir cinnamon into pie filling; spread over the crumb crust. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over the top, pressing lightly.
