Making a Dish both Vegan and enjoyable for my family

For " Thanksgiving " my mom asked me to make a dish that everyone

would like. It would not be so difficult if everyone was Vegan in my

house but I am the only one who is veggie, which is sad but that is

another thing within it's self. So if someone could please give me a

recipe that would please everyone, Vegans and Omnivores. Thanks a

bunch! )

You know vegan food is very delicious and not weird or

anything. (sure you already know this being a vegan)

I think the trick here is to pick out a recipe you really enjoy

and that you think tastes good, looks pleasing and all.

Then just don't go telling them or making a deal to those

meat eaters that it is vegan; which often times just that

word VEGAN will ruffle feathers and make them act like

it is suspect! I know when I " forced " my family and my sil

to go to Tilly Gortes (a veg restaurant) my sil was all uppity

and had her undies in a bunch that she'd hate it all just

because it was vegetarian thus in her mind weird as hell.

She tried her best to act a jerk about it; asking the waitress

all sorts of dumb questions with her nose wrinkled up etc.

But that waitress was just very polite and guess what...

the good food won her tatse buds over! Not a big surprise to

us folks, but hey, everyone has their hang-ups. *lol*

 

Anyway, we have tons of great tasting recipes in our files

already for you to browse through. See if anything strikes

your fancy and feel free to ask questions of us. I will also keep

a look out for more for you. Are you thinking you want an

interesting side dish or more of a dessert item? Or does it

have to be like a potluck-style main dish?
