Guest guest
Great idea, Dave. I like doing this too. I am PT aka feral in Oregon USA. For dinner tonight we had tri-color veggie spaghetti, bread stix, vegetarian meatballs (Nate's brand), and a *gasp* jarred pasta sauce! I tried this Classico brand Cabernet marinara sauce. I usually have a jar of my own sauce in the freezer and use that, but I was feeling rushed and busy so I grabbed a jar of sauce this time when I was out at the market. It seemed a bit bland to me.... but it worked out fine. I also served a salad of mixed baby greens. We ate quickly and all had to rush out to our evening activities. Monday is a bit manic around here lately. Tonight my daughter requested I make a pasta parmarosa for dinner. I don't know if I am really in the mood for that though after having eaten pasta just last night, so I might make something else. ~ pt ~ The secret of joy is the mastery of pain. ~ Anais Nin, writer (1903-1977) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~> , " Dave " <phantombluefan> wrote: > hey folks, > haven't done this in awhile so here goes what did you all grub for > dinner tonight? Guest guest
PT - what's a pasta parmarosa? Is that like a baked pasta dish? I was thinking about trying one of the jarred Vodka Sauces b/c I can never seem to get my recipe to turn out. Have you tried any of those? Last nite I had a quesadilla I made w/ a sundried tomatoe tortilla, sauteed peppers, onions, chiles, tomatoes, and Veggie Slices pepperjack cheese. Dipped it in a black bean salsa for kicks. Yummy! Thanks! , " Feral " <terebinthus> wrote: > Great idea, Dave. Guest guest
Parmarosa is a sauce, like a pink sauce; a sort of creamy spaghetti sauce. To me it is like mixing an alfredo sauce with a regular marinara. I just buy the Knorr brand pasta sauce packets and follow the directions on the back to make it. I have never heard of Vodka Sauces but they sound interesting. That quesadilla you made sounds wonderful! ~ PT ~ Rewards and punishments are the lowest form of education. ~ Chuang-Tzu, philosopher (4th c.
