WARNING: This recipe is addictive! Only make it if

you want to gain weight or are going to serve it to

a group of people so you won't be tempted to eat

the whole thing yourself! *lol*

If Crispix cereal is vegan then this recipe is also, that is

if you use a vegan margarine. I don't have a box right

now to check it, but I know Corn Chex are vegan, so I

imagine Crispix might be as well.

Anyway, this is really delicious. A nice little nibble snack

that my kids like for movie night or when we play dominoes.

I have noticed my dominoes need a washing do to sticky

fingers though. :)

Sweet Snack Mix

6 cups Crispix cereal

1 can (10oz) mixed nuts

1 package (10 oz) pretzel sticks

3/4 cup maragrine

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

In a large bowl, combine the cereal, nuts and pretzels.

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add brown

sugar; cook and stir until dissolved. Pour over cereal

mixture; stir to coat. Place a third of the mixture on a

greased 15x10 inch baking pan. ake at 325 for 8 minutes;

stir and bake for 6 minutes more. Spread on waxed paper

to cool. Repeat with remaining mixture. Store in airtight

containers.

Yield: 14 cups

Never feel self-pity, the most destructive emotion there is.

How awful to be caught up in the terrible squirrel cage of self.

Yummy! Can't go wrong with that recipe. Well at least most of the

fats in the nuts are unsaturated (bout 21/2 grams per saturated) and

the nuttos are high in protein and have no cholesterol (could go the

low-salt mixed nuts...booo ;). You can sub. in some fat-free

pretzles (i usually can't tell the difference). Of course I'd have

to get rid of the brown sugar and sub some Tabasco (maybe garlic

Tabasco, haven't tried that yet, yum) or some sort of hot sauce,

MUAHAHAHA!
