Guest guest
That's basically my stance, as well. The panic and specific charge against soy milk, especially against the leading brand by name, was what tipped me off. This was a hatchet job. Considering that carrageenan in used in so many things, to single out one product, then to get specific about the leading brand, and then to add in panic words and wild claims of what's " possible " -- well, sorry, that's nothing but a smear campaign, and when you see those, you wonder who will benefit from it, and the obvious answer is the Dairy Council. And the fact that carrageenan is so widely used, and we don't see people dropping like flies from a variety of things, shows me that it's at least reasonably safe and nothing much to worry about. And, as you say, it's not as if we're bathing in it and drinking the bathwater every day, either.
