Guest guest
hi I got a few things to say first of all adelphia screwed me big time at 4am monday the 6th which was my bday no less my puter cable service went out and stayed out for a week cause they were doing stupid upgrades that went bad big time too bad these companies never heard the saying " if it works dont fix it " . I would have much more colorful comments to say but I dont want PT to bust my ass and boot me lol. ok the next thing I wanted to talk about is animal rights especially dobermans and rottweilers. I think its so lame that people cut off their tails and ears just for show or whatever. in denmark several years back they actually made it illegal to cut tails and ears. Fifi who is a dj at LHR http://livehardrock.com showed me these sites that have both a rottweiler and a doberman ears and tails intact http://www.dog-inn.com/racer/indeks/rottweil.htm http://www.netby.dk/Nord/Olivengade/jette/donna_dk.htm unfortunately both sites are in danish but you can see those dogs look so much happier compared to the typical threatening looks those dogs usually have. food for thought stay cool, Dave pbf
Guest guest
that's one thing dave, you and i will both agree on for once. :-) i do not agree with docking ears and tails just to conform to AKC breed standards in the show ring. I view it pretty much in the same area as declawing. I considered having my cat declawed when i got her, but when i started doing research into it to see what it entailed (this was my first cat), i decided against it. i went with the softpaws nailcaps instead because fannycat is almost always an indoor cat save for when i take her outside on her kitty leash, and she doesn't scratch on my furniture at all. i show her her little corrugated cardboard scratch box and she starts working away on that, i saw no reason to put her through what tantamounted to ten digit amputations for the sake of saivng my furniture. if i get cats in the future, i will not have mine declawed. i'm also blessed in that my itty bitty kitty actually tolerates me handling her paws so i can clip them myself. good thing considering how fast her claws grow. and they're clear/white so i can see where the vein is & not worry about having a face full of scratches because i cut the quick by accident. *grin* Megan
Guest guest
Sorry about your cable woes. I only wish I had cable for my internet connection. Oh well, won't complain, I get it for free. Happy B-day, Dave! My eldest child celebrated her's on the 10th; nice time of year for a b-day. I couldn't agree more about docking the tails and ears of dogs. I have two Jack Russell terriers and they have it illegal to dock them in Ireland and England, but here it is still legal and many breeders do it. Poor dogs... ~ PT ~ I find that a change of nuisances is as good as a vacation. ~ David Lloyd George ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , " Dave " <phantombluefan> wrote: > hi I got a few things to say first of all adelphia screwed me big > time at 4am monday the 6th which was my bday no less my puter cable > service went out and stayed out for a week cause they were doing > stupid upgrades that went bad big time too bad these companies never > heard the saying " if it works dont fix it " .
