Guest guest
oy vey what a day yesterday. Long story short, I go to the Renaissance festival to enjoy some time with my friends. I get out about 11 p.m. I go to where I parked. My car isn't there. Come to find out it was towed because it (and several other cars) were blocking the driveway to the park police building. I didn't think mine was because it was only an inch over on the driveway. Well, I hail a cab, and it takes me to the place in North Las Vegas where the park police say the cars were towed. It's not even there. They told me the cars were towed to a facility clear across town and closer to where the park where RenFair was. So, $46 cab ride and $143 impound release fee later, I get my car back (after I already spent major $$$ at Renfair for a costume and assorted knicknacks). I go to retrieve my car from the yard, and I see a police ticket for illegal parking. I choose to laugh about the whole thing. Megan
Guest guest
Good for you. It beats the alternatives. I was involved in a large gathering in BC, catering veggie food for the long weekend. I was sick for most of the time, and exhausted. As I come into the door at home, the handle for the bucket I'm holding comes off, and suddenly I'm ankle deep in Sloppy Joe. My DH and son were behind me as I begin laughing loud and long about how sloppy it is! They looked at me funny, and the cats hid, but it's the best you can do. Hope you enjoyed the Rennaisance Fair. My DH and many of my friends go to those in Washington and BC. Donni - Megan Milligan Sunday, October 12, 2003 9:12 AM (OT) i choose to laugh oy vey what a day yesterday. Guest guest
thanks donni. what else can i do? i didn't want to spoil a perfectly good day with friends at renfair (when i rarely get aw eekend off from working) by getting pissed about something that was partially my fault to begin with. i just looked at it as a big adventure anyway.
