Guest guest
Greetings! My daughter will be having her 10th birthday in a few days. We are having a small party for her. I need ideas for foods that all the kids will eat. Since she is veggie this is proving to be very hard for me. I need to keep I simple as I am not by any means a gourmet actually I am kitchen challenged..... We are having her party at a park so there will be no way to keep foods hot. Please, please pass along your ideas..... Thanks in advance! Robin in NC
Guest guest
hi robbin, here's some ideas for foods for your daughter's b-day party: ..peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (maybe cut them into shapes with a cookie cutter) ..veggie dogs and buns with condiments ..chips and dips ..cut up veggies and dip ..colorful pasta salad ..little cups of yogurt...let the kids top their own with granola, coconut, chocolate chips, fresh strawberries, chopped nuts, etc... ..fruit kabobs and dip...(strawberries, fresh pineapple, kiwi, apples, grapes, melons, etc...) it might be a fun activity to let them assemble thier own kabobs. ..quick fruit breads like zucchini, banana, or strawberry. ..cake or cupcakes and ice cream hope this is helpful. let us know how it turns out. hope y'all have fun! susie --- rwhitt1212 wrote: > Greetings! > My daughter will be having her 10th birthday in a > few days. Guest guest
We did much the same thing, make everything finger food. Dips, lots of dips, for veggies and chips. The big one for us was doing birthday cake in an ice cream cone. I'd put the flat bottom cones in muffin tins, then fill them 3/4 full with any cake or muffin batter. Bake like cup cakes, and let cool. Then I'd put out icing and various decorative items for them to decorate as they like. Another fun project is making pizza. Depending on the ages of the kids, I'd use french bread or pita bread. Put out tomato sauces, veggies sliced thin, grated cheeses, veggie slices, olives, browned and flavored mashed tofu, and let them build their pizzas. Each should put something on top to help distinguish it from the others. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes and serve. Donni
