Guest guest
B " H HUH?!?!?!?!? I know I skipped a lot of messages (I now have over 1000 messages, dating back to March, in my inbox, so I've skipped a zapped a lot), but do you all come with subtitles???? I feel like I've stepped into the Twilight Zone (or am on top of the Tower of Babel -- I recognize the words -- well, most of them -- Enochian???? -- pre-cyndrical? -- but I have NO idea what you all are talking about)........ (BTW, who is Wilfred Crone???) Debbie Hi Fraggle > did you wander around the asparagus pole clockwise or counterclockwise? there is much debate over the proper stepping > order... There is so much controversy - and both sides are wrong. Personally, I'm a bit of a traditionalist - the asparagus pole wasn't introduced until the mid 18th century when the Duke of Sussex decided to re- write everything. I'm sure you'll agree that once the asparagus is removed, the stepping order becomes obvious. Now, the real controversy is whether the knot should be pre-cyndrical or Enochian. Guest guest
Hi Debbie > I feel like I've stepped into the Twilight Zone I do have a bit of a reputation for making people feel like that. It's particularly fun if they're a bit drunk or stoned :-) > Enochian???? Of Enoch - chap who gave detailed instructions on how to build clock-calenders several thousand years BC. His works were lost to the Western world, although remained popular in Ethiopia. " Discovered " again by James Bruce in the 18th century - to be strictly accurate, stolen from an Ethiopian church. (And I'm actually not making this one up either!) > -- pre-cyndrical? Well, pre meaning before (obviosuly). Cyndrical refers to a medieval method of cross-stitch - possibly invented in France by Louis de Chretin. It never really gained popularity, and disappeared within a century of its first appearance. It's been revived recently by some particularly adventurous cross-stitchers, but is still very obscure. Right. Time to find a gremlin to stick on a wing of an aeroplane. Or is it?....or....is it? doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo didledidledidledidledidledidledidledidledum. BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
