Actually I think of myself as 55 years 'young'!!lol

 

As mentioned on another post, I try to get the message across about

milk even with my husband and with other people (in a polite way of

course) but they themselves must want to change the very often " habit

of a lifetime " . Reading as I did about the milk industry etc it

certainly helped me to 'not' drink milk anymore.

Me too really. I get annoyed when I receive post from Saga. How dare they

insinuate that I am old :-)

 

I think we often forget that we are a minority, and most people never even

think about what they eat. They were brought up eating meat, milk, cheese

etc. and don't give it another thought, unless they start reading up on

health issues for some reason. I would imagine that most people who change

for animal rights issues do so when they are young. It wasn't until I

started mixing with hunt sabs that I thought about it much at all -

obviously I knew I didn't like fox-hunting, otherwise I wouldn't have been

there. Luckily, I met those people and heard about the horrors of farming

etc. and became veggie. The of course you become aware of all sorts of

horrible things that go on.

 

Lots of people say they wouldn't like to give up milk, cream, cheese because

they like the creamy feel and taste of it. Now, of course, there are good

substitutes so maybe that will help some people.
