Guest guest Posted July 15, 2002 Report Share Posted July 15, 2002 When an email is sent from the site it travels around various computers on the internet (SMTP servers) trying to find you. If there is a problem it then sits around and waits for four hours before trying again. In the mean time another email may have been sent from that gets though straight away and so arrives before the earlier mail, which is still waiting. If it is a problem then you need to consider changing email providers. I notice you use Hotmail so it doesn't surprise me. As a popular service it is very busy which is why you get these problems. If you read the group online though why not just go to the group page on the site and read it there? If you select extended mode you can see several messages on screen at once which is very handy.
