Guest guest
Lest anyone make a special trip to get any of the items listed, 1. the soy yogurt this week was 33 cents, not 13 cents!! In my experience, it's rare to find soy yogurt there at all -- last time I found it there was probably 4-6 months ago. In the past year, when it's been in stock the price has been 50 cents each except for this time. 2. very high turnover! Though chances are you'll find something that appeals on any random visit, don't count on finding anything specific, or a lot of different items. It's potluck -- worth a trip if you're in the neighborhood (there are several stores in the bay area), but not worth a special trip. Guest guest
On Nov 5, I said, I went to the REDWOOD CITY Grocery Outlet 8 for $1 is what they have for clearance that day. There are many factors for a big sale.... It was going to expire the next day or they are passing the sale to you. If you know by now, every Grocery Outlet is different. Their inventory and prices are different on a DAILY basis. As a " senior " shopper at Grocery Outlet, I think you know what I mean. " Grocery Outlet " the name says it all. You guys probably want to go to the SJ store http://www.groceryoutlet.com/ == Getting the vegan pizza is also rare too, that's why you don't know whats in stock at all time. == Don't laugh I've got organic cereals for 50cents a box. (that was 7 months ago at Richmond Grocery Outlet) Organic Raw Energy bars for 20cents (will never see that again) Organic soy chocolate pudding as I said were 4 for $1 last week So, that's why it's like treasure hunting at Grocery Outlet. == I found the best way to get the best deals is shop for your neighbors and friends. Hopefully they will shop for you too. Overall, shopping at Farmer's market is best place to shop. _____ yarrow [yarrow] Sunday, November 08, 2009 2:32 PM sunny_outdoors Cc: Re: [southBayVeggies] affordable Vegan foods Lest anyone make a special trip to get any of the items listed, 1. the soy yogurt this week was 33 cents, not 13 cents!! Guest guest
I see from that website (http://www.groceryoutlet.com/) that they have two stores in San Jose, one store in Redwood City, and about a dozen other stores in the greater Bay Area. Do these stores have a special vegetarian/vegan section? It would be handy if they do. -- Mike [X] sunny_outdoors [sunny_outdoors] Sunday, November 08, 2009 4:03 PM yarrow Cc: RE: [southBayVeggies] affordable Vegan foods On Nov 5, I said, I went to the REDWOOD CITY Grocery Outlet 8 for $1 is what they have for clearance that day.
