The Boalt Hall Animal Law Society presents a free screening of the documentary

" Food, Inc. "

Place: In room 110 in Boalt Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. Boalt Hall is on

Bancroft Way, between College Avenue and Piedmont Avenue.

Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 4

This screening is free and open to the public.

Drawing on Eric Schlosser's Fast Food Nation and Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's

Dilemma, director Robert Kenner's documentary (94 minutes, 2009) explores the

food industry's detrimental effects on our health and environment. Kenner

spotlights the men and women who are working to reform an industry rife with

monopolies, questionable interpretations of laws and subsidies, political ties

and rising rates of E. coli outbreaks.

Donations are requested at World Centric to cover cost of films and speakers.

Film to be followed by speaker, discussion, and socializing. The speaker on

December 4 will be Matt Harnack, a Stanford student and eco-documentary

Inc. " being shown, Matt will show his own film " Fossil Fuel Free Film " (20

Many meat-eaters will be present; the discussion time will be perfect for
