Guest guest
Hi David, You are right that messages like this are not appropriate for the South Bay Veggies List and I have removed this person from the list (and I'm pretty sure it is just straight-up spam). While I am personally grateful to have learned of the Christian Vegetarian Association through this list, and I'd welcome similar postings regarding the existence of Jewish vegetarian associations, Hindu vegetarian associations, atheist vegetarian associations, etc., this e-mail that just came through obviously shows no consideration of why our group exists. For the record, I may tolerate some postings that seem off-topic (informing others of an upcoming cool but non-diet-related event, a personal project someone wants to share, etc.) if I know the poster to be an actively participating member of the South Bay Vegetarian Society in general (for example, if I am in a play and I want my South Bay Veggie friends to come see it!). I do hope we don't go overboard with that, though, and I appreciate the feedback, especially since I am currently the sole moderator for this group and I could use the help! I hope you will keep d and engaged with the SBVS, and I'm sorry wacky messages like these get through sometimes Best, Sarah In a message dated 8/30/2009 9:09:21 P.M. If it was sent by an actual list member, it is over the top. I don't want to have a religious discussion - one way or the other - on this list. If this crap continues I'm gone.
