Guest guest
Please join us for a protest against McDonald's to urge the company to stop breaking chickens' wings and legs, scalding them to death in de-feathering tanks, and abusing them in other heinous ways. Volunteers are needed to hold signs and pass out leaflets, all of which will be provided -- all you have to bring is yourself! As the largest seller of chicken meat in the U.S., McDonald's has the responsibility -- and the ability -- to reduce this abuse. Please cross-post this e-mail message and forward it to others who might be interested. For more information and to learn what you can do to help, visit http://www.McCruelty.com This is a monthly protest normally held on the first Saturday of each month. The location will vary over the next few months. See further details below. -- Mike ______ Bill [slummingangel] Tuesday, July 28, 2009 2:22 PM activistsforanimals [ActivistsForAnimals] McDonald's Rally this Saturday, August 1 We've only had two McDonald's rallies so far and already we've gotten under their skin. Last month, McDonald's called the police, urging them to get rid of us somehow. The police could only warn us not to break any laws. McDonald's hopes a police presence will intimidate us into silence. Will it work? This Saturday, we will return to the same location with a bigger protest than ever! This will be a peaceful, law-abiding protest, giving police no excuse to obstruct us. This will be a loud, energetic protest, giving McDonald's no ability to ignore us. In September, we plan to try out a different location (our plan from the beginning), so this Saturday, we will give the Camden McDonald's a protest to remember! We're talkin' megaphone! We're talkin' Chicken Man at his Chicken Manniest! If you attend only one rally this year, make it this one. When: Saturday, August 1 12-1 PM Where: McDonald's 1869 Camden Ave. (corner of Leigh Ave.) San Jose, CA 95124 Ryan will bring signs and fliers. You bring your energy and all the friends you can round up. -Bill
