Lonely donkey Alert Update...WE FOUND A HOME...but we need to transport...please Help!

This is an update on the little donkey that Mara is trying to rescue in

Cottonwood Ca. Briefly, the donkey is pinned in a dirt only fence with no

shelter and getting thinner by the day. He is very lonely too. Recently his

caretaker passed away and the man who is left to take care of our friend is not

doing so properly. He is willing to let the donkey go to anyone who is willing

to adopt.

He's a young male, ungelded but very sweet and gentle and is used to people.

The good news is that Peaceful Valley Sanctuary in Tehachapi Ca. ( a donkey

rescue sanctuary) will take our little donkey friend!

We are working to get this in place. Unfortunately, Peaceful Valley cannot come

to pick up for 3 months. This is an impossible wait.

So we want to get him transported by other means as soon as possible. Please

forward this request to as many equine, donkey, animal lovers, activists and

organizations as you can, & as soon as you can. Cottonwood to Tehachapi is 473

miles (northern Cal to Southern Cal). Very near Bakersfield.

Needed:

* Truck with a hitch

* Horse trailor

* 1 to 2 people to drive, experience preferred, but we are told that this is

not absolutely necessary.

* funds for gas

* feed

* Anything else you think we are forgetting.
