Re: Dish incorrectly labeled " vegan " in your " Vegetarian

Hi Mike,

You're right, it was incorrectly labeled. Delicious Living put that

label on, not me. That's something their editorial department did, so

you should email DL directly.

As for the honey, you can substitute agave nectar if you'd like a vegan

version of the spread.

I hope you enjoy the recipe,

Laurie Gauguin

Dish incorrectly labeled " vegan " in your " Vegetarian

Thanksgiving menu " article

TO: Laurie Gauguin

Laurie:

In your article that I referred to below, the Pumpkin Seed Spread recipe

is incorrectly labeled " vegan " (the recipe calls for honey). As you may

know, honey is an animal product and is not an ingredient of vegan food.

" Vegetarian Thanksgiving menu " in free mag at Whole

Foods

" deliciousliving " is a free magazine that they have at the checkstands

at Whole Foods. The November 2008 issue features an article entitled

" Vegetarian Thanksgiving menu " on pages 34-40. The magazine's cover is

a photo of one of the dishes, apple-parsnip bisque. The article gives

seven vegetarian recipes, of which four are vegan. Note that the last

recipe, Pumpkin Seed Spread, is incorrectly labeled " vegan " -- it calls

for honey.

The article is also available online, at
