Guest guest
I'd love some companionship to help me with some projects for the animals at the San Jose Animal Care Center. Maybe more accurately, I need some motivation! If I set a date, and have help, I HAVE to set aside the time to do it. I have some fun, Hawaiian print fabrics that I want to make into bandanas for the dogs. It's really easy! I have pinking shears, which cut the fabric in a zig-zag edge so you don't have to hem, and there is no fraying. Once they are made, I (and you, if you'd like to help) will go to the shelter and put them on the dogs. I've done this before and the dogs look absolutely irresistable! And will hopefully increase interest in them. For the cats, I get used bed comforters and cut them into sizes to fit their cages. The cats love them, and most will right away start in on 'making biscuits'!! If anyone has a comforter to donate, let me know. I have all the supplies so all I am looking for is someone to help. If you have only an hour, that will help. And it will be fun. I'll probably be inspired to make something yummy from my 'vegan baking' cookbook. I am also open to any craft ideas you have. I'd love this to become a monthly event. So, if you might be interested, email me and we can set a time/date at that time. I live near Williams and Saratoga in San Jose.
