Dishes will be both vegetarian and vegan, and everything (think such things as fritters, greens, corn cakes, and the like) will be accompanied by sweet Southern tea. Mmmmmm. Tea and sweet potato pie, anyone? Anyone? *Wednesday, October 15th*---this night will be held in Sunnyvale and will be hosted by Lachmin, perhaps with some help from her friends. It will be a night of /*all Indian cooking*/ and you'll enjoy some vegetarian dishes ranging from pakoras to raita to aloo gobi to kheer. Some of the recipes will be complex, others quite simple, all hopefully super tasty. *Wednesday, October 22nd*---Laurel and Dan will once again host a night at their lovely San Jose home and will do a /*Japanese themed night*/. So you can look forward to vegetarian sushi, miso soup, vegetable tempura, and maybe a seaweed or cucumber salad. Should be lots of fun! * Wednesday, October 29th*---Erin and Brian will host a night of /*campesino dishes from the Dominican Republic*/, where Erin served as a Peace Corps volunteer for two years. Dishes may include tostones, arroz y habichuela, molondrones guisados, remolachas and arepa (Translation: double-fried plantains, Dominican rice and beans, okra saute, beet salad and sweet corn meal cake). And, as a special bonus, Jaclyn will be on hand to help co-host with these first-timers. -- Save gas money and try a more enjoyable, exciting, and healthier way of getting around: ride your bike!
