Community lunch (Sunday 9/28 Guadalupe River Park, San Jose)

Hello,

We will have the first and hopefully not the last community lunch in the

Guadalupe River Park in San Jose on Sunday 9/28. You are invited to join us.

*What is a community lunch?*

Community lunch is a gathering of people enjoying the food together in an

informal setting. It is pretty much just a bunch of people having fun in the

park around lots of good food.

*What should I bring?*

Food, drinks, lawn chairs, company, and a lot of good spirit. Though sharing

of food is desired and recommended, make sure you have enough food for

yourself. Depending on your dietary requirements and allergies, you may not

be able to enjoy other people's food.

*What other activities will there be?*

We will not prepare any special activities, but you are encouraged to bring

outdoor games and props. Since the community lunch is an outdoor event,

there will be lots of opportunities for activities.

*Where will the community lunch take place?*

The community lunch will take place in the park is between W St. John

Street, W Santa Clara Street, N Autumn Street, and N River Street; right

next to the HP Pavilion:

You can get there with VTA lightrail by taking San Fernando or Diridon

station; Caltrain, Amtrak, or ACE at San Jose Station; bike the Guadalupe

River Trail or any other surface road; finally, there is some parking around

the HP Pavilion, but if you are driving you may want to take some extra time

to find the parking.

*What time should I come?*

We will be there from 12:05pm on. You can come at any time you want.

*What is the fee?*

Depending on your personality. If you are happy and you know it, then it is

free. If you are a party pooper, then it is $10,000,000.
