Guest guest
Here's a good balanced article about soy, written by Dr. John McDougall , titled Soy – Food, Wonder Drug, or Poison? In short he recommends: Soybeans and their by-products should be thought of as rich foods – naturally high in fat and protein. In their traditional forms consider them as delicacies – and you should consume them as you might other plant food delicacies – nuts, seeds, avocados, and olives – in small amounts on special occasions. He also distinguishes between traditional soy foods, such as tofu, tempeh and miso, vs. synthesized foods such as textured vegetable protein and isolated soy protein, which he recommends avoiding. http://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2005nl/april/050400pusoy.htm
