Guest guest
Most of the veggie food is not vegan, but can be made vegan by having the cheese on the side. If there's lots of demand for vegan dishes, maybe the organizers might consider having vegan meals. And,,, getting donations of vegan cook books will help them out. I am going to the vegan night in Berkeley tonight. It wasn't sold out. HOwever, all the other frugal foodies nights are always sold out. ----- Forwarded Message ---- J Moses Ceaser moses Frugal Foodies is thrilled to announce the opening of its second location. This one will take place on Wednesday nights in Downtown San Jose, starting June 18th, and will be hosted by three energetic housemates named Melissa, Jaclyn, and Daniel. Here's a bit about them: The roommates are all passionate about healthy eating, the environment, social justice, diversity, art and music. They are always learning and growing in these areas. They are very open-minded and conscious. They strive to let their creative energies flow, especially with food! Frugal Foodies San Jose takes place on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-9:45PM, in the heart of downtown San Jose in a cozy bungalow full of color and inspiration. Their backyard serves as an organic garden and compost space, as well as the perfect location for a yurt. The price for all Frugal Foodies (Berkeley and San Jose) will now be $8, at least temporarily, to cover the cost of global expansion. We hope that you'll help spread the word and make the San Jose debut on June 18th a smashing success. And if you'd like to help them launch by donating cutting boards, a butane stove, or a medium-sized work table, please let me know. As for what's coming up in San Jose, here goes: Wedneday, June 18th-what better way to kick off the first Frugal Foodies, San Jose than with a special guest ingredient night? This month's special ingredient is Pineapple. Pineapples are sweet, tart and versatile. We will be making an appetizer, entrée and dessert with this yummy fruit. Wednesday, June 25th-frittatas, fruit, crepes, French toast, coffee and smoothies© breakfast time is a nostalgic time for many. Good food and good conversations are always exchanged at this meal time. Every month, we will dedicate one night to the world of breakfast foods. This month, that night will be on the fourth Wednesday. Thanks again for helping to spread the word. Registration still has the same requirements-sending an email to me and pre-payment-and you can find all the other updated info at http://www.frugalfoodies.org . Happy summer!
