Santa Clara County wants to kill feral cats--help stop this

I read about this in the Mercury News, and someone

posted the following on Craig's list:

 

" Public pressure is needed to prevent a proposal from Supervisor Pete McHugh to

trap and

kill all feral cats in Santa Clara County from becoming reality.

 

An article detailing his plans was printed in the Mercury News on 9/25/07. An

excerpt:

" Unless cat lovers can talk them out of it, Santa Clara County supervisors are

expected to

launch the Great Cat Roundup of 2007 today: All homeless and stray cats on

county

property would be trapped, removed and most likely killed if a proposal by

Supervisor Pete

to stop

doesn't want to " seem cruel " but " what if somebody tries to grab a [feral] cat
