I also recommend car-pooling due to limited parking as well as gas prices. Diane ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- We have 2 Vegan Thanksgiving events coming up: Our long-running Spare_the_turkey VEGAN FEAST in Berkeley -- a tradition for over 30 years! -- and our more formal event at Liz's Landing the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Come to one or both events! What : East Bay Thanksgiving Day Potluck When : Thu Nov 23 16:00 - Thu Nov 23 18:30 Where: 1606 Bonita Street, upstairs [recreation center, BUUF] PLS bring a prepared vegan [or raw] dish with a group of kindred spirits. PLS RSVP and let us know what you are planning to bring. We will try to coordinate a little to ensure a variety of good food and a few desserts too! We will provide the beverages. PLS bring your own plate and utensils to spare the Earth. We ask for a small donation of ~ $3 to cover the costs of renting a hall. [A small number of places may be arranged for people who can't prepare anything and can contribute $12.] What : East Bay Pre-Thanksgiving Potluck, Co-sponsored with SF Veg Society. When : Sun Nov 19 5pm - Sun Nov 19 9pm Where: At the home of Elizabeth Bechtold, 633 Glenwood Isle, Alameda Socializing & Appetizers 5:00 p.m.; Dining 6:00 p.m. Optional dancing afterwards $1 suggested door donation with food enough for 10 people or $10 without food. Attire: Dressy, please. Thanksgiving Recipes encouraged. Vegan and Raw Friendly. Directions: From 880, take High Street Alameda Exit. At stoplight, turn west onto High Street and proceed over bridge 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Otis Drive and right onto Glenwood - exactly 1 mile. From Fruitvale BART Station, take Bus #50 to White Hall & Willow, then walk 2 blocks to Otis and 1 block to Glenwood.
